RECYCLINET
How it works
Discover how RECYCLINET is planned to work, from preparing your PET bottles to a possible reward — a system that is currently in preparation.
Overview
The way RECYCLINET is envisioned to work rests on a simple principle, presented here as a general overview (exact details remain to be confirmed):
- Prepare your PET bottles.
- Indicate that PET bottles are available for collection through the planned Collection request feature.
- A pickup may be carried out by a Collector according to the system that will be put in place.
- The collection and, where applicable, the weight may be validated according to applicable rules.
- A validated collection may lead to a Reward according to applicable rules.
Step 1 — Preparing PET bottles
Citizens set aside their PET bottles ahead of a collection.
Caps may be included only if applicable contracts allow it — this point remains to be confirmed.
Step 2 — Collection request / organizing the collection
The concept of a Collection request is envisioned as a planned feature, allowing a citizen to signal PET bottles available for collection.
This feature is not presented as active at this stage.
Step 3 — Pickup by a Collector
Depending on the system that will be put in place, a Collector may handle a Collection request.
No guaranteed availability is claimed at this stage.
Step 4 — Validation / weight
The collection and, where planned, the weight may be checked and validated according to applicable rules. Once validated, this weight corresponds to the Validated weight concept in RECYCLINET's vocabulary.
Step 5 — Reward
A validated collection may lead to a Reward, according to applicable rules.
The initial planned form of reward is phone recharge.
No guarantee is claimed. No rate, scale, amount, or telecom operator is mentioned at this stage.
Traceability / tracking
The general principle of Traceability for collections is being considered to support consistent tracking across the system.
This feature is still in preparation — no real-time tracking or complete history is presented as available at this stage.
Monastir
RECYCLINET's first pilot is planned for Monastir, Tunisia, and is currently in preparation.
No date, neighborhood, or precise zone is disclosed at this stage.
